On Monday, students from Year 8 and 9 embarked on an exciting new task, the 10X Challenge run by Young Enterprise. Sixth Form students are also involved as group leaders and business advisors, sharing their knowledge to aid our budding entrepreneurs.

The aim of the challenge is to help our students to develop their employability skills and experience, as well as providing them with an important insight into how core curriculum learning will serve them well in this fast-changing world. By embarking on this journey, students will also enhance their skills in market research, and grow their confidence when giving presentations. All of which are integral to the world of business.

In this task, they will spend the next four weeks setting up a business where they need to come up with an idea of a product or service they can can sell; gaining first-hand experience of what it’s like to be an entrepreneur. The classroom was alive with a buzz of ideas, excitement and collaboration as students eagerly embarked on this exciting new venture! We wish everyone the best of luck and cannot wait to hear their business plans in a few weeks’ time!
