Aims and Ethos
At St Edward’s School, our vision is strong – Ambition, Respect, Participation.
Ambition
At St Edward’s, we inspire every student to achieve extraordinary things through a strong culture and great curriculum. Rooted in our core values—Community, Broad Curriculum, High Aspiration, and an Extensive Co-Curricular Programme—we ensure all students thrive, regardless of background.
We set high expectations, fostering ambition and belief in their potential, supported by a purposeful and coherent approach to all aspects of school life.
Respect
Respect is central to our community at St Edward’s. Guided by ‘The 5 Respects’—speak respectfully, behave respectfully, respect the environment, your learning, and others’ learning—we create a harmonious and supportive environment for everyone.
Participation
We value student voices, encouraging them to shape their learning, well-being, and community. Participation is embedded in four areas: Learning, Personal Achievement, Decision-Making, and the Wider Community, empowering students to grow and contribute meaningfully.
