This week, the Upfront Theatre Company visited St Edward’s to deliver an interactive session to Year 10 students. Upfront are a dynamic educational theatre company specialising in providing interactive workshops and plays, exploring a variety of social issues such as discrimination, exclusion bullying, and peer on peer harassment.
During the session, three actors delivered sensitive scenarios around these social issues, highlighting different situations, the potential impact on the people involved and, afterwards, encouraged our students to discuss how a range of reactions can change outcomes.
Through engaging debate and discussion, the actors were able to bring attention to the various sides of the societal topics and provoke a wider conversation. An innovative way to navigate complex and difficult issues and inspire awareness.
