‘From there to here and here to there, funny things are everywhere!’- Dr Seuss

The Drama Department are embarking on a wonderful challenge to create a ‘Cat in the Hat’ themed scarf that will wrap around the Performance Hall, in preparation for their production of ‘Seussical the Musical’!

Each week in their ‘Make and Do’ workshops, students will be busy making props, with a select team of excellent knitters and crocheters making red and white squares, whilst another team sews them together.

Mrs Monk and Mrs Crouch are also challenging the wider St Edward’s community to make as many squares as they can by January 2022. Simply deliver your squares to the reception and see them transform into the longest scarf St Edward’s has seen!

Dimensions need to be:

  • Cast on 20 stitches, knit 20 rows and cast off, if using if using double knitting yarn and 4mm needles.
  • 10cm x 6cm if crocheting, or using different yarn thickness/needle size.
